Library Media Center

G. H. Reid Library is a centered library.  The mission of the library is to promote literature and to ensure students and staff are effective users of information. Students have access to a variety of literature, computers, educational games and makerspace activities.

Hello Reading Ravens!

I am Ms. Harris, a Richmond native who is a proud graduate of Richmond Community High School, Old Dominion University and Virginia State University.  

I have served as the Library Media Specialist at G.H. Reid Elementary since 2014.  Prior to joining the G.H. Reid family I was a Special Education Teacher at  Oak Grove- Bellemeade ES and E.S.H Greene ES. 

My goal is to "Build a Better Reader" by collaborating with staff and exposing students to a variety of literature and technology that will support the Virginia SOLs.
